Housing Options
The Arabic Summer Institute is pleased to offer students two convenient and affordable housing options for summer 2012. Further details for each option will be included in accompanying materials with student offer letters.
Undergraduate students visiting from outside Austin must stay in Arabic Summer Institute housing. Local students and visiting graduate students may choose to stay in institute housing, though priority will be given to visiting undergraduates. Local students and visiting graduate students may also make alternate housing arrangements on their own.
#1: Arabic House
Fast Facts: Single and double occupancy rooms available in a trendy, modern duplex with upgraded features. On campus shuttle and city bus routes, close to campus. Fully furnished, including linens. Cooperative community of focused Arabic students.
Rates: $2,450 single / $2,310 double occupancy rates cover rent, all bills, and all meals
#2: Dobie Center
Fast Facts: Double occupancy dorm rooms with shared common areas. Walk to campus. Fully furnished, including linens. Fitness and computer facilities on site. Housing shared with students of other summer language programs.
Rates: $2,275 double occupancy rates cover rent, all bills, and 19 meals per week
Both housing options are co-ed environments, with single-gender shared rooms. Shared bathrooms at Dobie are single-gender, mixed-gender at Arabic house.
