AFP student Jeffrey Abadie awarded Boren Scholarship

Arabic Flagship Program student Jeff Abadie has been awarded the prestigious Boren Scholarship to support his upcoming overseas studies. The highly competitive award offers full funding for Jeff to complete one year of intensive Arabic study and an internship in the Arab world with sixteen of his colleagues from UT’s AFP. The experience will push Jeff to reach superior proficiency in Arabic, a goal he has been pursuing since joining the AFP in spring 2008 and during prior study of the language.
